CS Energy approached RecWise looking for a cost effective solution that could be used in the business and was straight forward to use.
Whilst many other providers offer various solutions we work on the premise of ‘KISS’. Utilising the process that the customer knows and understands ensure that there is minimal confussion around the process. We simply take the process today and put it in a framework where the customer can rely on.
The added bonus was that instead of being a SaaS model where customers may be dictated to for storage CS Energy could choose the fleixibility of either having the application on their own infrastructure or alternatively on infrastructure they source from external providers directly. This allows for a better understanding of costs associated with the service and also the ability to drive economies of scale from bundling other services together should that be a need in the future.
If there is a need to move to the Microsoft Azure Cloud or Amazon Web Services then they have the flexibility to do so.
By replicating the current process that the finance team undertakes it improved the buy in by the finance team and removed some of the workload, with the added visibility around the process for management to oversee the month end close process.
